Bonomini srl was founded in Lumezzane (near Brescia) in 1976 as a technical office, specialized in designing industrial products like, for example, household items, taps and fittings, as well as moulds and tools required in their making.
In 1980, in addition to the designing work, the company began manufacturing stainless steel moulds for to the production of a very large array of items, ordered by leading national and foreign companies. Basing on acquired experience in these fields, in 1984 the company expanded, and began manufacturing and selling its own hydraulics products.
The company, supported by a well-established mould manufacturing department and an experienced technical office, both led by Mr. Ennio Bonomini, soon set up a plastic injection moulding department.
In 1996 the company moved from the original location in the Lumezzane valley to a new and bigger factory in Borgosatollo, a town located in the Brescia suburban belt, a logistically favourable site thanks to its closeness to the "Brescia Centro" high-way exit ramp, railway and road transports stations.
In 1999 the continued growth trend led to the purchasing of a second factory which now serves as shipping warehouse and packing department.
In 2005 the third factory, housing the assembling departments, was completed. Now the overall factory surface is about 11.000 m2 spread on 4 productive units, all in the town of Borgosatollo employing about 70 workers.
The pressing department employs 25 presses for plastic materials injection, three of them with double injection and two of them with triple injection. The pipes extrusion department has four lines one of which is dedicated to the three-layered coextrusion of the famous European-patented TU.BON.FLEX®.
Internal handling, managed by a RFID system, employs lift forks equipped with on board computers, and connected with the factory computer network, that gives them the products' coordinates and location in real time..
In the last years the company's products and trademarks has been subject to many counterfeiting attempts. This phenomenon, while confirming BONOMINI S.r.l.'s leading position on the market, has forced the company to adopt many countermeasures.
It has been necessary to employ new marketing strategies on the domestic market, characterized by the launch of many new products, most of them patented. The necessary support has been supplied by important advertising campaigns, including TV commercials.
