How it works

It is positioned directly under the WC pan instead of the usual “bend”, all the functions of which it performs. It separately receives the drainage pipes coming from the different sanitary fixtures, so that one of its inlets can be used to aerate the manifold itself. In this way the pressure variations that inevitably occur inside the drainage system will no longer mutually influence the various branch-off pipes (as on the other hand occurs in traditional systems that are not provided with secondary ventilation, thus emptying the traps and causing annoying gurgling) but are concentrated in the manifold zone. They will thus be easily neutralised by the aeration pipe that is then in the ideal position, i.e. the chamber that is common to all the inlets, i.e. the manifold.

The waste water conveyed in the drainage systems causes not infrequent partial and even total clogging of the pipes that is due to the sedimentation of organic substances, fibres, soap and anything else that may accidentally end up in a drainage pipe. It is thus indispensable to be able to inspect the drainage system; this should even be a legal requirement to protect the user (consumer).

The “GENIUS” manifold is thus provided with a central element, the conveyor pipe, which can be removed to enable all the branch-off pipes of the system to be accessed so that they can be unclogged using proper tools. This is clearly a job for a plumber, who must first remove the WC pan to access the manifold, but it is certainly better than breaking up the floor!
